How to Make Beef Soup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wipe beef shank.
  • 2Cut meat in small pieces.
  • 3Crush bone.
  • 4Brown meat in hot cooking fat.
  • 5Combine meat, bone, bay leaf, celery salt, water, salt, and pepper.
  • 6Cover.
  • 7Simmer slowly 4-5 hours.
  • 8Skim as necessary.
  • 9Brown vegetables in hot cooking fat.
  • 10Add to meat broth.
  • 11Simmer until vegetables are tender.
