I found this recipe on the back of a bog of noodles and gave it a try. Boy am I glad I did, it's delicious.

  • 1 1/2 lb
    cubed beef stew meat
  • 2
    medium onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    cooking oil
  • 15 c
  • 5 Tbsp
    instant beef bouillon
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 tsp
    marjoram leaves
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1
    28 oz. can tomatoes, broken up, drained
  • 2 c
    sliced carrots
  • 2 c
    sliced celery
  • 1 c
    frozen green beans
  • 1 c
    chopped cabbage
  • 16 oz
    medium egg noodles

How to Make Beef Noodle Soup


  1. In a large soup pan, cook beef and onion in oil until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Add next five ingredients, cover and simmer l 1/2 hours. Add next five ingredients, simmer 15 minutes longer. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Add to soup, heat through.
