Beef craving a new soup. Decided I wanted to go Asian style! This was fab!

  • 1 Tbsp
    coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 lb
    bulgogi or bool kogi (same thing, different spelling)
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 c
  • 5 clove
    garlic, sliced
  • 1/2
    white onion, sliced to 1/16 in. thick
  • 1/4
    red cabbage, sliced to 1/16 in. thick
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    chinese five spice powder
  • 30
    frozen mini wontons (aprox. number)

How to Make Asian Beef Soup


  1. heat coconut oil in large skillet over medium heat. Brown Bulgogi, drain.
  2. In pot mix together all ingredients. bring to a boil over medium then reduce to simmer.
  3. Allow to simmer for at least 1 hour but no more than 2.
  4. Return to boil. Add in frozen mini wontons and cook for additional 2 minutes.
