Beef craving a new soup. Decided I wanted to go Asian style! This was fab!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds bulgogi or bool kogi (same thing, different spelling)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/2 - white onion, sliced to 1/16 in. thick
  • 1/4 - red cabbage, sliced to 1/16 in. thick
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chinese five spice powder
  • 30 - frozen mini wontons (aprox. number)

How To Make asian beef soup

  • Step 1
    heat coconut oil in large skillet over medium heat. Brown Bulgogi, drain.
  • Step 2
    In pot mix together all ingredients. bring to a boil over medium then reduce to simmer.
  • Step 3
    Allow to simmer for at least 1 hour but no more than 2.
  • Step 4
    Return to boil. Add in frozen mini wontons and cook for additional 2 minutes.
