Ingredients

  • 2 cans 15 1/2 oz white beans, rinsed and drained (keep separate)
  • 2 - carrots, diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups ham, cubed(i use left over)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 - bay leaf (optional)

How To Make white bean soup

  • Step 1
    Mash one can of beans, set aside; in a large sauce pan saute the carrots & onions in butter. Stir in the water, ham, seasonings, whole and mashed beans. Cook over medium heat until heated. Discard bay leaf, if used.
