A friend brought this soup to a tailgate party. Everyone raved about it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pkg. Kielbasa sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 15 ounces can Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces can Cajun or Mexican stewed tomatoes
  • - Basil, oregano, garlic salt and bay leaves, to taste
  • 15 ounces can kidney beans
  • 15 ounces can whole kernel corn
  • - Shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired

How To Make sausage bean soup

  • Step 1
    Cut Kielbasa into thin slices.
  • Step 2
    In soup pan or dutch oven, saute sausage and onions; add tomatoes, with juices, and seasonings. Simmer approximately 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Just before serving, add beans and corn, with juices. Heat through.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired and crusty French bread.
