1/2 c
diced ham (or a ham bone)

large onion

stock

How to Make Pea and Ham Soup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Soak the peas as directed on the bag.
  • 2Dice onion and saute in a little oil or pork fat.
  • 3Add peas, stock, and ham bone. Cook until peas are soft, about one hour.
  • 4Remove ham bone and remove meat from bone, chop. Puree peas. Add ham meat. Heat.
  • 5Serve with a little cream or parsley as garnish.
