Ingredients
- 1 pound navy beans
- 1 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
- 1/2 - chopped celery
- 1 teaspoon sage or poultry seasoning
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 - bay leaf
- 2 ounces tomato paste
How To Make navy bean soup

Step 1Wash beans in cold water and soak for 10 minutes. Place beans in large pot. Add twice amount of cold water as substance. Bring water to a boil. Lower heat and cook beans for 10 minutes and skim off foam. Add vegetables bay leaf, garlic pepper seasoning, and sage. Cover pot; cook on low heat until beans are soft(at least one hour) Add additional cold water if you need more cooking time. Add tomato paste or crushed tomatoes.
