- 1 cup dried navy beans
- 1 ounce chicken base
- 1 pinch chili powder
- 3 cloves whole cloves
- 1 ounce chopped green pepper
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make navy bean soup

Step 1Soak beans in cold water to cover beans 3 to 4 hours. Let ingredients simmer 3 to 4 hours, adding water as necessary. Mix together 2 tsp. of flour, pinch of pepper and 1/2 C. water. Blend into smooth paste, stirring into soup. Simmer additional 1/2 hour or until tender.
