To my utter surprise, this is a recipe that Mom noted she got from Aunt Dorothy Africano, who prior to this the only thing I knew she ever made was her Ginger Snaps!

Ingredients
- 1 - ham bone
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 pound great northern beans
- 3 stalks celery, with leaves
- 2 quarts water
- - carrot
How To Make mom's bean soup

Step 1Boil together all but carrot. Reduce to simmer, covered, until beans are tender then add carrots.
