1In a large DEEP fry pan or pot, heat Olive Oil. Add diced onion and allow to cook until translucent. Add green chile's, diced tomato's, and cubed ham. Stir well.. Cooking on a simmer temp.
2Once heated well, add the Northern Beans and beef broth along with the spices. Stir until well blended and allow to come to a soft boil.
3Cook at a soft boil on the stove for 3 to 5 min. and then cut the heat down to a very very low bubble for about 20 min. Add more broth when needed or allow this to be a bit thicker by not adding more broth. This soup is great with a salad and hot rolls. Enjoy!
