I had my grandmother's recipe and she made a best butterbeans with ham with cornbread. It just like back in old days. We love it. It is so delicious and tasty.

Ingredients

ham bone leftovers
1
big bag of butterbeans
salt and pepper to taste
water

Step-By-Step

1Put the ham bone in the big pot and bring a boil and reduce to medium-high heat until the ham falls off the bone. Take the bone and ham out and cut the ham to pieces and put the ham pieces back in the big pot and add butterbeans into ham juice and cook butterbeans according package to directions. Serve with cornbread.
