potato, peeled and cut into bite sized chunks

How to Make French Pea Soup
1Wash peas in colander and check for stones.
2Boil water and add peas. Boil 1.5 to 2 hours until soft. Add meat and vegetables and cook until soft, 30 minutes.
3Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly add water until soft dough forms. Drop dough in by spoonfuls to simmering soup. Cover, cook 15 minutes.
