Ingredients
- 10 cups water
- 2 cups dried yellow peas
- 1 - small onion, chopped
- 1 - carrot, chopped
- 1 - stalk celery, chopped
- 1 - potato, peeled and cut into bite sized chunks
- 1/2 cup ham or cooked bacon, diced
- DOUGHBOYS
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup water or milk
How To Make french pea soup

Step 1Wash peas in colander and check for stones.

Step 2Boil water and add peas. Boil 1.5 to 2 hours until soft. Add meat and vegetables and cook until soft, 30 minutes.

Step 3Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly add water until soft dough forms. Drop dough in by spoonfuls to simmering soup. Cover, cook 15 minutes.
