This is a meatless meal, it is so good on a cold day. It is so simple to make and oh so good. Served with a nice crusty bread your family will come back for more. I usually double the recipe and freeze the leftovers.
I usually use more garlic than the recipe calls for, we love our garlic. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • ·
    3 cloves of garlic
  • ·
    4 t. oil
  • ·
    2-8oz. cans tomato sauce
  • ·
    2-8oz. cans water
  • ·
    1- 6oz. can tomato paste
  • ·
    1- 6oz. can water
  • 1 tsp
    parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    basil, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    1- 15oz. can great northern beans
  • ·
    4oz. ditalini pasta (can use elbows)
  • 1 lb
    sweet italian sausage

How to Make Fastest and Best Pasta Fagioli ever!

Step-by-Step

  1. Put oil in 3 quart saucepan. fry garlic (do not brown) add parsley, pepper, oregano, basil, salt, tomato sauce, tomato paste, cans of water. Stir all and bring to a boil: lower to med heat and simmer 15 min. Add undrained beans, cook an additional 15 min. Cook pasta in a separate pot.
  2. Boil pasta in a separate pot until tender, drain and add to bean mixture. Enjoy!!
