fastest and best pasta fagioli ever!

This is a meatless meal, it is so good on a cold day. It is so simple to make and oh so good. Served with a nice crusty bread your family will come back for more. I usually double the recipe and freeze the leftovers. I usually use more garlic than the recipe calls for, we love our garlic. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • - 3 cloves of garlic
  • - 4 t. oil
  • - 2-8oz. cans tomato sauce
  • - 2-8oz. cans water
  • - 1- 6oz. can tomato paste
  • - 1- 6oz. can water
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - 1- 15oz. can great northern beans
  • - 4oz. ditalini pasta (can use elbows)
  • 1 pound sweet italian sausage

How To Make fastest and best pasta fagioli ever!

  • Step 1
    Put oil in 3 quart saucepan. fry garlic (do not brown) add parsley, pepper, oregano, basil, salt, tomato sauce, tomato paste, cans of water. Stir all and bring to a boil: lower to med heat and simmer 15 min. Add undrained beans, cook an additional 15 min. Cook pasta in a separate pot.
  • Step 2
    Boil pasta in a separate pot until tender, drain and add to bean mixture. Enjoy!!
