Yummy! Dad used to use the left over ham bone after holidays to make this, this is the easier version.

Ingredients

  • 5 c
    water, boiling
  • 3/4 lb
    ham, cubed
  • 1 c
    carrots, chopped
  • 3 stick
    celery, chopped
  • 1 small
    yellow onion, diced
  • 4 can(s)
    great northern beans, drained
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Easy Ham and Bean Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring water to a boil. Mash 2 cans of beans and add all the beans, ham, celery, onion, carrots, bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste. Turn heat down to medium and cook for about 30-40 mins or until all the vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaves before serving. Enjoy.
  2. You can use less or more ham and beans to your liking.
