Double Sausage and Beans

Ingredients

14 ozpolska kielbasa
-
1 lbitalian sausage, mild, casing removed

2 can(s)tomato sauce, 28 oz. each
-
1large yellow onion, peeled
-
4cloves garlic, peeled
-
2 can(s)red beans, 15 oz. each, rinsed and drained
-
1/2 ccooked green peas
-
1 Tbspolive oil
-
1/2 cred wine
-
1/2 tspthyme, dried
-
·salt and pepper to taste
-
·shredded smoked mozzarella cheese for topping
How to Make Double Sausage and Beans
- Mince garlic and onion. Chop polska kiebasa.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil and cook garlic and onion over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add Italian sausages and cook breaking the sausage until brown. Add polska kielbasa and cook until polska kielbasa brown lightly. Add grean peas and red beans. Cook for about 1 minute.
- Stir in red wine and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer. Add thyme and cook over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add salt and black pepper to taste. Keep simmering for another 10 minutes.
- To serve, put the shredded smoked mozzarella cheese over the top of sausage and beans.
