A simple, tried-and-true black bean soup recipe of mine that is not only delicious but also quick and easy to throw together

  • 2 can(s)
    black beans
  • 1
    bell pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2
    peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 can(s)
  • 3-5 clove
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2-3 c
    chicken broth

How to Make Black Bean Soup


  1. Saute peppers and onions until browned, then add garlic.
  2. Add beans, tomatoes, and pepper(s) in adobo sauce. Add broth as needed - it should nearly cover the other ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil and puree. If soup is thin, boil until it reaches desired consistency.
