I buy a 20 oz bag of 15 Bean soup it includes northern,pinto,large lima,garbanzo,yelloweye bean,baby lima,green split pea,kidney,cranberry bean,small white,pink bean,small red,yellow split pea,lentil,navy,white kidney,and black beans. It comes with a packet of "ham seasoning" but I don't use it.

Ingredients For 15 bean soup

  • 2 c soup mix
  • 1 onion,chopped
  • 2 carrots,cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 chicken or vegetable bouillon cubes
  • black pepper
  • 1/4 c butter

How To Make 15 bean soup

    Sort thru the beans for any rocks or debris. Rinse. Add beans,remaining ingredients and enough water to cover in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Stir,reduce heat,cover and simmer about 2 hours. Stir occasionally and check water level. Check for seasoning,you may need to add salt,but check at the end of cooking,the bouillon cubes are salty.
