Ok now this recipe is a little different. The prep time depends on whether or not you begin soaking your beans in the morning or over night.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup pinto beans
  • 1/3 cup great northern beans
  • 1/3 cup red beans
  • 1/8 cup kidney beans
  • 1/8 cup white beans
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup red wine {optional}
  • 1/4 cup garbanzo beans
  • 1/3 cup blackeye peas
  • 1/3 cup black beans
  • 1/3 cup lentils
  • 2 - ham hock, smoked
  • 1 can hunts fire roasted tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic chopped

How To Make 10 bean & ham soup

  • Step 1
    Cover the beans with water to an inch past the beans & 2 tbsp of salt. Let them soak
  • Step 2
    After soaking, drain then add 2 qts of water & ham hocks, simmer 3 hours
  • Step 3
    Add onion, chili powder, tomatoes, garlic & red wine, simmer another hour
