10drops of red food coloring(optional)
1 pkglittle smokies or any type of beef sausage, not eckrich or any like that.
How to Make Pickled Sausage
- Combine the water,salt, vinegar and food coloring in a large pot and heat to a boil.
- you can cut the sausage to desired size, leave little smokies whole.
- place sausage in a glass jar that has a lid. pour the mixture in to jar. Place lid on the jar and tighten and let it stand for 2 days then serve.
