I have been making these tasty little treats for my girl Lucy and all her "furry friends" for years. They have all natural ingredients so I know they are safe for our girl...give them a try!!

prep time 35 Min
cook time 15 Min
method Bake
yield 24 - depending on size of cookie cutter

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 to 4 - cloves of garlic, minced
  • dash salt
  • 6 to 8 tablespoons milk

How To Make garlic-cheddar dog biscuits

  • Step 1
Beat the cheese and margarine in a mixing bowl. Add the flour, garlic and salt; mix well. Add enough milk to form a stiff dough. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with a bone shaped cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375* for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown. My oven takes 15 minutes...all ovens are different. Remove to wire racks to cool. Biscuits will harden as they cool.
