I love making this around Christmas time. You can substitute the Crispix with various Chex cereals.

yield 24 1/2 cup each

Ingredients

6 cups crispix cereal
1 cup peanuts, dry roasted
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup malted milk powder or ovaltine
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped whoppers
1/2 cup dried cherries

How To Make choco-malt-cherry mix

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix the cereal and peanuts

Step 2

Microwave the chocolate chips and butter on high 1 minute and stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until the mixture is smooth. Pour over the cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Step 3

Gradually stir in the malt powder until evenly coated. Stir in remaining ingredients and store in an airtight container.
