found this recipe online not sure where tried it twice and came out pretty good. hope you enjoy

  • 6 small
    onions, small white
  • 1 tsp
    mustard seed
  • 3/4 tsp
    ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 3 c
    distilled white vinegar
  • 1/3 c
    sea salt
  • 6
    cucumbers sliced

How to Make Bread & Butter Pickles


  1. In large pot, combine the onions, mustard seed, turmeric and celery seed.
  2. In sauce pan, combine sugar, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil. Pour the boiling mixture into the pan with the onion mixture.
  3. Add the cucumber slices. Pack to into sterile jars. refrigerate for 2 weeks before eating.
