cooked white beans
1 tsp
cider vinegar
1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 Tbsp
chopped onion
1 small
carrot, chopped
2 Tbsp
chopped parsley
1 medium
egg, lightly beaten
wheat germ, optional

How to Make Bean Patties


  • 1Cook the beans and press through a food mill while still hot, they puree much better when still hot.
  • 2Add all other ingredients and form into patties, dip into beaten raw egg, then roll in wheat germ and fry in hot oil.
  • 3If you prefer, oil a baking pan with vegetable oil and bake at 425 F for ten minutes or until brown, turning once.

    Serve hot.
