This is a treat I usually make around Christmas...the cool weather put me in the mood to make today...enjoy!

yield 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 - egg whites, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon each - dried thyme, cajun seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons each - cayenne pepper & paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon worcshestersire sauce
  • 2 cups walnut halves

How To Make spiced walnuts

  • Step 1
    Spray a baking sheet with non stick cooking spray. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. In a bowl, add seasonings to egg whites and mix thoroughly. Add the nuts and toss to evenly coat.
  • Step 2
    Spread out onto prepared sheet pan and bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until coating is dry and nuts crisp up. When they come from the oven, I sprinkle with seasoning salt or Cajun seasoning...use whatever you like.
  • Step 3
    Cool, then serve...Yum!
