    egg white
  • 1 tsp
  • 3 c
    unsalted nuts
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    5-spice powder
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt

How to Make Spiced Nuts


  1. Beat egg white and water until frothy.
  2. Add 3 cups of your favorite unsalted mixed nuts and toss to coat.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients.
  4. Toss the sugar mixture with the nuts. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees until fragrant and dry.
