simple and quick spiced pecans

Updated on Jul 30, 2014

These are great for snacking or tossed in a salad. They are super quick to make and very tasty. I like that there isn't too much sugar. Enjoy!

prep time 5 Min
cook time 10 Min
method Stove Top
yield 2 Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make simple and quick spiced pecans

  • Step 1
Melt the butter in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Step 2
Stir in the salt and pepper, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  • Step 3
Stir in the pecans. Toast the nuts, stirring frequently, until the color starts to deepen (but not blacken), about 6-8 min. *Make sure to watch closely so the nuts don't burn.
  • Step 4
Transfer the nuts to a bowl and sprinkle them with the sugar, while still warm, and mix. Then pour them out onto a plate to cool. Enjoy!
