Ingredients

  • 2 pounds dried raw peanuts
  • 1/2 cup salt

How To Make boiled peanuts

  • Step 1
    Soak peanuts in water to cover 8-24 hours. Weigh down with a plate if needed. Drain and rinse.
  • Step 2
    Place peanuts and salt in 4 1/2 quarts of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to medium low, and cook 6 hours until peanuts are tender. Add water as needed to keep peanuts covered.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat and let stand one hour.
