I made this with my mother in law the first few years my husband and I was married, and when I make it that is the fond memory I have.. so delicious and buttery it almost tastes like toffee

Ingredients
- 8 cups popped corn
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make old fashion carmel corn

Step 1In a large pot, mix brown sugar, butter and corn syrup, cook to a hard rolling boil to (aprox 4 Min)on medium heat remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. gently pour over the popped corn stirring gently

Step 2you may add nuts if you desire, bake at 300 degrees for 15 min.. remove from oven, stir for 5 minutes. bake again for 5 min longer,

Step 3gently put it on wax paper til it is cooled
