I spent years trying to find that perfect caramel corn recipe and finally gave up because they all seemed to come up just a bit short on flavor... until I created this one... which turned out to not be completely new as I've seen similar recipes since I posted this one. My husband, who is not a fan of popcorn has refused to try it until this year... I finally convinced him to eat just one piece. That one piece turned into a full gallon Ziploc baggie that was empty within just a few hours. It's a holiday favorite within my family and circle of friends so I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Tamara definitely named this caramel popcorn recipe correctly... buttery and sweet it is incredible! Everyone was wondering what the heavenly smell was coming from the Test Kitchen while it was baking. The proportion of caramel to popcorn is spot on. Caramel coats every morsel perfectly. This yummy treat is great for Halloween, game day, a hostess gift or put it in a mason jar with a ribbon for a fantastic homemade Christmas gift.
