This has always been a favorite with my family--and it's really easy!!! I make this on New Years Eve and plenty of other times too!!!

melted margarine
2 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
corn syrup, light
1 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp
baking soda
7 qt
popped corn (i use a popcorn popper-not microwave buttered-although plain microwave popcorn will work too)

How to Make Carmel Corn


  • 1Combine melted margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in sauce pan. Bring to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat add: vanilla and soda. Stir well until foamy. Pour over 7 quarts popped corn in large roaster pan. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 min. Pour out on waxed paper to separate and dry.
