This has always been a favorite with my family--and it's really easy!!! I make this on New Years Eve and plenty of other times too!!!

Makes two Large Gallon Size Ziploc Bags
Ingredients
- 1 cup melted margarine
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup, light
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 7 quarts popped corn (i use a popcorn popper-not microwave buttered-although plain microwave popcorn will work too)
How To Make carmel corn

Step 1Combine melted margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in sauce pan. Bring to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat add: vanilla and soda. Stir well until foamy. Pour over 7 quarts popped corn in large roaster pan. Bake at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 min. Pour out on waxed paper to separate and dry.
