I double the butter that the recipe calls for and it makes it chewier. Sometimes there is leftover caramel sauce and that is good on old fashioned vanilla ice cream. :)

1 lb
bag of popcorn, popped
2 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 c
butter or margarine
1 c
karo syrup
1 can(s)
sweetened condensed milk
aluminum foil

How to Make Caramel Popcorn


  • 1Pop a 1 1b. bag of popcorn. Try and pull out as many unpopped kernels as possible.
  • 2Melt butter, brown sugar and Karo syrup. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • 3Add 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Cook another 4 minutes; stirring occasionally.
  • 4Pour over popped popcorn. Mix well and turn out onto almunium foil to cool.
  • 5Store in airtight container.
