Makes 16 cups.
Ingredients
- 4 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- dash salt
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
How To Make caramel corn

Step 1Boil brown sugar, corn syrup and butter for 5 minutes. Add soda, cream of tartar and salt (make sure this is in a large pan since it boils over). Pour over 4 quarts of popped popcorn. Bake in large roaster for 1 hour at 200 degrees. Pour on wax paper to cool.
