This recipe came from the Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper, Food Section back in the mid 1990's. I believe the person who contributed this recipe was associated with White Trash Cooking. I make these for whenever I have to bring a dish to pass; they get gobbled up!

Ingredients For the best ever deviled eggs

  • 12
    eggs, hard boiled
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet pickle relish
  • 2 Tbsp
    dill pickle juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise (i prefer hellman's)
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 2 dash
    paprika

How To Make the best ever deviled eggs

    Peel and slice boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Pop out the yolks and place in separate bowl, set aside. Place egg halves on a long plate.

    In another bowl mix all the ingredients except for the paprika. Then add the egg yolks, mash them up to the consistency you prefer. I like ours on the thicker side.

    Spoon egg yolk mixture into egg halves. Then sprinkle salt and pepper over. Finally sprinkle paprika.
