How To Make soft ginger cookies
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Sift together flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl cream together oleo, 1 c sugar and egg until fluffy. Stir in water and molasses. Gradually stir in dry ingredients. Shape dough into walnut size balls – place balls onto ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly with bottom of drinking glass dipped in reserve sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes – allow cookies to cool before storing in airtight container.
-
Step 2The longer these last the better they taste. Makes 2 – 3 dozen (depending on size of the balls you make). I make these all the time – everyone loves them!!
