simple and tasty granola bars
This is a very simple granola bar recipe that you can modify to you likes & desires. Change up the chips (vanilla, butterscotch, espresso), add nuts, etc. Get fancy by drizzling melted chocolate or vanilla chips over the top when completely cool. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters if you spread the bars thin enough. Just have fun.

Ingredients
- 5 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 4 1/2 cups rice krispies
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 - sleeve graham crackers, crushed (8-10 crackers)
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (3/4 cup)
- 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 packages miniature marshmallows (2 x 10 oz bags)

Step 1Lightly grease a 10 x 15 pan. Set aside.

Step 2In a very large bowl, combine the oats, Rice Krispies, chocolate chips and graham cracker crumbs. Mix until well blended.

Step 3In a large saucepan, melt the butter, peanut butter, oil, honey and marshmallows. Make sure it is evenly melted and smooth. Add melted mixture to the dry ingredients, and working quickly, mix thoroughly. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.

Step 4Cool completely and cut into bars.
