How To Make sheet pan nachos

Test Kitchen Tips
Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to the raw meat, mix, and set aside for 15 minutes before cooking. This will allow the meat to brown better and retain more moisture.
  • 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a large rimmed baking sheet.
  • cooked ground turkey with spices
    2
To prepare the nachos, heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey or beef and cook, crumbling into small pieces, until completely browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain off any excess liquid. Add the seasonings and stir to combine.
  • tortilla chips topped with black beans and cheese
    3
Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer over the prepared baking sheet. Top as evenly as possible with the turkey, black beans, and cheese. Bake 6-8 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and the toppings are heated through.
  • Mashing together the guacamole
    4
While the nachos bake, prepare the guacamole. Add the avocado and lime juice to a mortar or bowl and mash with a pestle or spoon until combined and smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and continue mashing until thoroughly mixed.
  • topped nachos
    5
Top the nachos with the guacamole and the toppings. Enjoy immediately.
