My mother used to make these when she had left over pie dough. I still enjoy making them and even make pie crust just to make these cookies.

your favorite pie crust recipe
butter at room temperature
ground nutmeats *optional*

How to Make Pie Crust Cookies


  • 1roll out left over pie crust 1/8" thick
  • 2cut with round cookie cutter ( my mother used a drinking glass )
  • 3place on cookie sheet
    Spread with butter
    Sprinkle heavy with sugar and cinnamon
    lightly sprinkle with nutmeats
  • 4bake in preheated 375 degree oven 10 to 15 minutes, or when slightly golden

    Store in airtight container
