Mom made these every year in 1965 she gave the recipe to me, I have been making them ever since they are my favorites.

  • 1 c
  • 1/2 plus 1 c
    confectioner's sugar
  • 1 large
    egg yolk
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 c
  • 1 c
    chipped almonds
  • ·
    confectioners sugar

How to Make Mom's Almond Crescents


  1. Cream butter and sugar
    Add egg yolk
    And flavorings blend well
  2. Add flour gradially until moistened. Add nuts.
  3. Form into crescents about 2 1/2 inches long.
  4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until slightly brown.
  5. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar while hot.
