How to Make Knecht Flakes (aka a type of Spaetzle)
- Combine flour, eggs and milk to make a dough. Scoop dough up into a spoon and using a butter knife cut small pieces of the dough off into boiling water.
- Let dough boil until it floats to the top. Remove from water and drop directly into hot skillet that has melted butter in it.
- Fry dough until light brown. Remove to plate covered with a paper towel. Sprinkle with salt and diced chives. Serve hot.
