italian-style stuffed mushrooms
I realize there are about a gazillion recipes for this tasty side dish or appetizer, and we all have our favorites. This one is mine, and I really think you'll like it too! It's easy to prepare and usually disappears within minutes of serving them.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. - large mushrooms
- 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons parmigiano-reggiano, grated
- 1 - egg
- 1-2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
- - salt and pepper to taste
- - butter
How To Make italian-style stuffed mushrooms

Step 1Preheat oven to 350'F.

Step 2Clean mushrooms; remove stems and reserve.

Step 3Chop stems to make 1/2 cup; sauté with onion and garlic, adding more oil if necessary. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, oregano, salt & pepper.

Step 4Spoon the mixture into mushroom caps. Dot with butter.

Step 5Bake for 20-25 minutes.
