This recipe came from a co-worker while I worked at our church. It is a wonderful mix and super easy to fix! You mix it in a garbage bag (although I now mix mine in the super large Ziploc bags -- I think they are 10 gallon size)
This is a great recipe to use at holiday time!

  • 12 oz
    crispix cereal
  • 10 oz
    goldfish crackers
  • 10 oz
    oyster crackers
  • 2 can(s)
    mixed nuts
  • 2 bag(s)
    cheese combos
  • 1 bag(s)
    pretzels (i use the buttery ones)
  • 1 box
    cheese nips
  • 7 1/2 oz
    sour cream munch'ems (or baked ritz sour cream crackers)
  • 1 jar(s)
    butter flavored popcorn oil (orville redenbacher)
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder

How to Make Garbage bag Snack Mix


  1. Place all ingredients into a garbage bag. Let stand 24 hours, mixing occasionally. (Make sure you aren't using a scented garbage bag!)
