Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
- 1 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Step 1Combine the flour, walnuts, baking powder and salt.

Step 2Cream the butter and sugar together.

Step 3Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla.

Step 4Add the dry ingredients, (not the cinnamon sugar ), mixing until combined. The mixture will be crumbly. Do not beat into a soft creamy mixture.

Step 5Shape into walnut-size balls. Arrange in circles in a greased 9-inch cake pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 6Bake at 350 F for 50 minutes.
