Some cranberry chutney recipes have tons of steps. But this one couldn't be easier and is incredibly delicious. It has a mix of tart cranberries, sweet apples, and rich dried figs that make a beautiful fruit combination. Tossed with a little brown sugar and spices, every bite has the flavors of the holidays. Serve alongside turkey, pour over cream cheese for a holiday appetizer or put it in a jar and give as a hostess gift. There are tons of ways to enjoy this delicious chutney. The Test Kitchen

whole berry cranberry sauce, 16 ounce
dried figs; coarsely chopped
apple; peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
1/4 tsp
1/8 tsp
each of ginger, allspice and curry powder
2 Tbsp
apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 box
cream cheese, 8 ounce

How to Make Cranberry Chutney


  • 1Combine all ingredients (except cream cheese and crackers) in a medium bowl and stir.
  • 2Chill for 2 hours or overnight.
  • 3Serve in a dish with cream cheese on bottom of the dish, then pour chutney over cream cheese and serve as a dip with crackers.
  • 4You can also serve at room temperature. Great to jar and give as a gift around the holidays.
