My family loves hot dogs, this recipe is a different spin on the hot dog. Found this recipe in the July/August 2010 Food network Magazine.

Ingredients

  • 1 package hot dogs,any brand
  • 1 package reg sized flour tortillas
  • - chili powder
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour, for dredging
  • - sour cream
  • - salsa
  • - tomatoes,chopped
  • - lettuce, shredded
  • - jalapeno, pickled
  • - mexican blend shredded cheese

How To Make chimichanga dog

  • Step 1
    HEAT OIL TO 350 DEGREES IN DEEP FRYER HEAT OVEN AT THE SAME TIME TO 375 DEGREES
  • Step 2
    LIGHTLY RUB HOT DOGS DOWN WITH CHILI POWDER. WRAP IN FLOUR TORTILLA (SECURE WITH TOOTH PICK)
  • Step 3
    DIP WRAPPED HOT DOG IN EGG. THEN DIP IT INTO FLOUR AND FRY IN OIL TILL GOLDEN BROWN.
  • Step 4
    DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS THEN PLACE ON BAKING SHEET. tOP WITH SHREDDED CHEESE
  • Step 5
    BAKE AT 375 DEGREES TILL CHEESE IS NICE AND MELTED. REMOVE AND PLACE ON PLATE AND TOP WITH DOLLOP OF SOUR CREAM,SALSA,LETTUCE,TOMATO, AND JALAPENOS.
