These scones can be made in less than 1/2 an hour. They are so simple, why not get the young ones started on baking using this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound self rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • 4 ounces butter, melted

How To Make cheese scones

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients. Roll out to 1/2 in thick. Press out rounds with pastry cutter. Brush top of each with beaten egg/ or milk Sprinkle the tops with grated cheese. Bake for 10/15 minutes in preheated oven at 180 deg
