1Cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Add oats, flour, nuts, and coconut one ingredient at a time and mix well. Press into well greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake 30 minutes til browned at 325 degrees. COOL. Cut into 2" X 4" bars. Serve as a quick breakfast, snack or dessert.
2If doubling the recipe (they go fast) use a jelly roll pan and bake at some temperature for about the same amount of time.
