I got this from my hubby's daughter, who works @ a carnival w/ her family. I loved the easy recipe, so asked her for it.

Ingredients

2 cups vegetable oil
1 pound loaf bread dough. you can get at the bakery or frozen section, then thaw.
1/2 cup sugar

How To Make carnival fried dough

Step 1

Heat oil in lg skillet over med-high heat until hot, but not smoking.

Step 2

Separate dough into 1"-pieces. Place a few pieces of dough into hot skillet and fry until browned, turning over once.
Step 3

Remove dough from skillet and drain on paper towels. Roll dough in sugar. I also add 1 tsp of cinnamon to the sugar.
