Butterscotch Bird Nests

Amanda Brecht

My aunt introduced me to these fun little snacks. We made them for Easter and it was a perfect treat, not to mention a hit with everyone! The recipe can be tweaked to however you like your nests, and it is all based on personal preference.

How to Make Butterscotch Bird Nests

  1. Put the butterscotch chips in a glass bowl and melt in the microwave. The amount is completely optional, I used the entire bag.
  2. Once the chips are melted, stir in the chow mein noodles.
  3. On a piece of parchment paper, take a small scoop of the chow mein noodle mixture and form a small nest with your hands. Place the eggs on top.
  4. Do not refrigerate, just leave uncovered on parchment paper to dry.
