How To Make aunt squishy's peanut butter cup creatine bombs
-
Step 1Place both blocks of cream cheese on the counter to soften for at least an hour.
-
Step 2In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 block of cream cheese and peanut butter, mix well. Slowly add creatine and inositol and mix in until smooth.
-
Step 3Spoon mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap, wax paper, or silicon sheet, cover with another piece of the same, and roll flat until approximately 1/8th inch thick. Optional: You can also use silicon freezer molds or chill mix in the fridge in a covered bowl for 1 hour then scoop into balls using a melon baller.
-
Step 4Place peanut butter creatine mixture into the freezer and repeat steps 2 and 3 for the Dark Chocolate Creatine Bombs.
-
Step 5Once both types of creatine bombs are set, prep them for easy consumption using the appropriate method below. For rolled out sheet form: Cut with a sharp knife into 48 evenly sized squares. For silicone mold form: Remove from molds and place in a large zippered freezer bag or airtight freezer container. For melon ball form: Place balls into a large zippered freezer bag or airtight freezer safe container. Store creatine bombs in the freezer and eat 1 of each per day.
-
Step 6TIPS: 1: If you don't like peanut butter you can opt for an alternative nut butter or double the dark chocolate hummus recipe. If you don't like dark chocolate hummus, double the nut butter recipe. 2: Always store creatine bombs in the freezer until consuming to prevent them from sticking to each other. 3: If you don't enjoy eating them frozen, take one of each bomb out of the freezer bag and place it into a small tupperware container in the fridge at least 1 hour before exercise. (I actually keep a tupperware in the fridge at all times for this. When I eat them for one day I immediately replace them with the following day's dose and put it back in the fridge. 4: You can further simplify this by combining the two recipes into one super sized batch but be prepared to adjust fridge/freezing times accordingly as the dark chocolate hummus is wetter and takes longer to set than the peanut butter.
