Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (pecans)

How To Make almond (pecan) toffee

  • Step 1
    Melt all ingredients (except nuts) slowly. Cook and stir constantly until mixture reaches 212 degrees. Then cook without stirring until 236 degrees. Then resume stirring constantly until done (305 degrees).
  • Step 2
    Stir in chopped nuts. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Cool...

    Melt chocolate, can use chocolate chips or candy melts, add a little parafin or oil to spreadable consistency. Spread over cooled candy......
